Rush, for the first time, is outclassed by a politician. Rush doesn't want to give up his position as "Maja Rushi" to Huckabee.
Here's an example.
Huckabee "attacks" Bush's "bunker mentality". Rush doesn't get it. I didn't either, at first. But, it turns out, that phrase was a stroke of brilliance (or was it a God thing?)
Look at the Republican race from Huck's standpoint. Wall Street and Washington are terrified of the Huckabee "surge". His Fair Tax and Fair Trade alone threaten those controlling the Grand OLD Party. Just look at the money these people are spending to derail Huckabee's train. Yet, the conservative people of mid-America still believe.
Huckabee (and we) see what is happening. Falsehoods and cynical distortions of Huckabee's record and positions on issues flood the media. There's hardly a columnist who supports Huckabee. FOX news has turned their entire broadcast day into anti-Huck propaganda and innuendo. And, at the same time FOX will not give Huckabee 5 minutes to respond.
So, what do you do without the huge financial resources of Romney, the other candidates, FOX, K Street and the rest of the Republican Yale and Harvard establishment? You need free air time. So, you say something that CNN Likes to hear.
You make just a semi attack against Bush (but you make it true).
Now, CNN sends out a call to Huckabee. Mike gets an entire hour with Larry King! How brilliant is that?
Mike is using the democrat free media to get his message out. He has to. The GOP is aggressively throwing mud all over Mike. He has found a way. Makes me admire the man all the more.
Now, I was upset at first. But, then I realized what Mike said about Bush is true. And I'm a big Bush supporter. To be honest, though, Bush is missing a big part of the strategy needed to win the war on Terror. He has lost the war on the ideological war against Osama Bin Laden.
While Mike agrees with Bush on the military part of the war, he sees opportunities to carry the war of words to the mountains and caves of Pakistan with echoes throughout the radical Muslim world.
Mike is the man who can wage that part of the war. It's well past time. With his religious background, Mike will be able to challenge Bin Laden in open debate aired all over the world. Mike wins that debate hands down just like he wins the debates with his rivals here in the US.
Mike knows Osama is not the hero the Muslims say he is. Osama is just a cult leader, whose popularity is based on lies and deceipt. He's a con man, a total fraud, not a hero.
Mike can win the wider war with words! He is correct that Bush can't. Reread Mike's foreign policy paper. You can see what his strategy is. I guarantee you'll like it. Mike can make us safe with words, not swords!
I'm voting for the Miracle Man Mike.
